My Life 102 Dairy: Building A Winning Attitude

February 08, 2020 0
Happy Sunday❤️,
I've set aside February 9th and 10th to celebrate two persons and brands that have contributed significantly to my growth and that of my Blog.
-
Today is the birthday of Grace Christos; the Lead Blogger Grace Christos' Blog, she's also the Editor-in-Chief of Eternity Network International - ENI.

-
If you never want to be ignored obscured or overlooked virtually work/learn from Grace Christos. One of the most defining moments in my life last year was signing up for Grace's Life 101 WhatsApp Class. The class which was focused on personal development and social media management made me learn, unlearn and relearn a lot as regards the media; the new media specifically. I'm currently a student of the Life 102 class and I've never regretted for a second. I'll only regret if I wasn't a member of any of her classes.

She has bless me in no small way and her impart to humanity is loving. She carry people along and make sure you succeed in what you are good at. Thank you for being part of my progress. - Esther Galadima

Grace Christos taught me this about attitudes:

Attitude is such a big deal. This is largely because it is contagious. If one person in a team, or at work is depressed or demotivated, it affects the whole group. Attitude is sponsored by thoughts, which translate to feelings and reflects in our actions.

Exceptional leaders don't just look out for skill in a successor. They look out for individuals who have the right attitude.

With the right attitude, you can achieve and become Anything.

What kind of attitude do you need to possess for success?

1. Teachability: the ability to listen and learn

2. Enthusiasm: a positive vibe that makes you excited about things

3. Humility: the willingness to reach out to people at any and all levels

4. Responsibility: taking charge of your actions, inactions and reactions

5. Passion: a drive and desire to achieve anything

6. Contentment: satisfaction and joy in things you possess, and in whom you have become.

Possess these 6 things and you are well on your way to taking over the world.

I've never met Grace Christos in person, but I've attended her classes and I must note that she is always Interested in the growth of other people. Selfless would be my word if I have to describe her in one word. You are greatly loved ma'am. Olamide Bomodeoku (Lammy Jane)

Culture Versus Christ.

November 27, 2019 0
We live in a world where people are judged based on their culture.

Culture is the way of life of a group of people. Christ is the image or likeness of God in us.

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:2 NLT

Among the cultures we have, you would always find something positive and negative about in them. This applies to every culture. Christ came into people's lives and the negative aspects of their culture in their lives began to erase. Because of this we shouldn't judge people based on culture, let's look at them individually. Their personality matters and Christ in them makes the difference.

In Nigeria, they say the Yoruba's love 'amebo' but I've met Yoruba's that have no business with 'amebo'. They say the Igbo's love money too much amazingly, I've met Igbo's who aren't crazy about money.

I've seen people from cultures where immorality is common but they're careful about the kind of life they live. I've seen people from cultures where charm is the ultimate but they're sincere about serving God. I've seen people from cultures known for idolatry but they're different. It doesn't stop here there are many more examples.

It's true culture is a way of distinguishing people but, sometimes what makes the difference is Christ.

Messed But Blessed

October 11, 2019 1

Everyone is born with something great. Everyone has a great potential. Everyone has a purpose to fulfil. Isn't it great that the word 'everyone' includes you?

The fact that you're alive today means there's something you have to offer that the world needs. It means you have an answer to a question.

It doesn't matter what people think you are or what you think you are. It doesn't matter what situation you're going through. It doesn't matter what decision you've made, it's not late to make a right choice again. It doesn't matter what wrongs you've done, there's Someone who is willing and would be glad to welcome you to His Kingdom. All you need to do is; make the right decision, be focused and keep moving.

You think you're going through a lot? It happened to Daniel but he made the right choice, was focused and kept moving and guess what? His life glorified God.

You think nothing good can come out of your life again? God empowered Samson again and without eyes he killed more people compared to when he had eyes.

You think you've done too many wrongs or made wrong decisions? David, was later referred to as the man after God's heart.

People may see you as DULL but God sees you as a LIGHT. People may see SCARS but God sees STARS. People may see you as an INSULT but God sees you as a RESULT. All you need to do is trust God and depend wholly on Him.

Don't let your past or what you're going through be a barrier to where you are going or who you're supposed to be. Let me remind you again, you're great.

The World We Live In

September 28, 2019 0
We live in a world where life seems to be unpredictable. A world where someone's likes is another's dislikes.

A world where someone's thoughts seems fantastic and to another unnecessary. A world where even how you act, speak and crack jokes is misinterpreted. So much wonder for this world.

To pass through this world successfully, so many things have to  be overlooked. You don't have to pick on every statement a person makes.

You don't have to get angry with every act of a person. You don't have to make stress on every issue. Sometimes you just have to LET GO and move on with life.

Everyone is different, everyone has challenges their battling with, every one has what makes him/her happy and sad, inasmuch as you try to be who you are, you have to be careful not to hurt the feelings of others.

You don't have to please everyone but be yourself and show love to people and guess what? Challenges in this life is going to be a walk over.

Overcoming The Frustration Barrier

September 20, 2019 0
Running the race through the track of life, we encounter so many problems, challenges, unpleasant situations and discouragements.

Sometimes if we aren't so strong to overlook the problems, challenges and discouragements, we become too weak, heart broken and it seems all morale is gone. I call this 'frustration'.

Frustration is a barrier to success.
So many things causes frustration like those listed above, frustration leads one to having a low self esteem and this may prevent you from even attempting the things you are sure you can do that may lead you to success.

One way or the other on this journey you will be faced with a lot of things that can get you frustrated and discouraged but, you don't have to let them get to you.

When faced with any of the above mentioned, you can look for someone you can share your problems with, someone who is willing to always help. If you find it difficult to do that, always remember that there are unique things about you.

Instead of getting frustrated, just try to activate the unique aspects of your life. Make use of your talents and gifts.

Always remember you are unique and different from everyone so, be yourself. Trying to be someone else can get you frustrated and even make you sad always, I think that's one of the worst mistake any human being can make: leaving your personality and trying to be another.

Always remember that you are one in millions. Always be thankful to God for the people around you.

Don't let frustration stop you from doing the right thing. Many people rely on you. If you break down, they also break down. If you are strong, they become stronger.
Always remember this and try not to be the cause of the falling of any man.

Always Giving Excuses?

August 16, 2019 1
Excuses are very useless. They go in line with pushing blame. Excuses doesn't push you forward, it drags you backwards.

The Bible tells us a little story in Genesis 3:1-19. I learnt the danger of excuses and pushing blame. After going against the instruction of God, Adam said it was the woman who God gave to be with him that made him go against God's instruction.

The woman said it was the serpent that deceived her. They both gave excuses even without asking the question 'why'.

But guess what? Excuses didn't stop them from being punished. Adam received his punishment, Eve received her share and so did the serpent. None went unpunished.

They both had the right to say 'NO', but they didn't. You have no excuse for the things that happen in your life because the choice was yours and no one made the decision for you.

There's one funny and deceptive thing about excuses; It makes you feel good, cool and perfect about yourself but, these feelings just last for a while but, the danger leaves a scar.

Excuses doesn't stop you from being punished.
Excuses stops one from reaching the top. It stops one from achieving his/her desired goal. It's a barrier to being great and a hindrance to your success.

If you want to succeed in life, you must avoid excuses.

God's Plan

August 10, 2019 0
It is always best we try to find out God's plan for our lives before making any decision.

For many it will be too hard to say 'Lord, let your will be done in my life', but you can't find complete joy doing what isn't God's will for your life.

Sincerely speaking I know God's will is always the best but sometimes I find it difficult to ask God for His will to be done in my life. Maybe I felt I had good reasons for doing what I do or what I wanted doing. But I thank God for His grace that now I'm willing to say and with a sincere heart 'Father, let your will, your plan, your purpose for my life be accomplished'.

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future". God is not a man that He would lie. God knows the future and we don't even have an idea what's gonna happen the next minute so why do we bother ourselves about our future when the creator of the universe has a better plan for us?.

Aside all these, there is one major problem or mistake that sometimes we make not until it is too late before we realize them, that is sometimes we block God's will, plan and purpose for our lives without knowing.

Sometimes we try to force ourselves into something even when we know it can't work just because we want to please people. Sometimes we treat humans inhumanly without caring if the person is part of those that will help in making your purpose come to fulfilment or vice versa. You may not know or see it but that person may get so discouraged about life and live anyhow.

Let's mind the way we speak to people, treat them, mind the words you say to people and live your life by the principle, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you".
Above all always pray for God's will to be done in your life and I promise you that you will never regret it.

Avoid The Ultimate Disappointment

August 02, 2019 0
Happy New Month,

We all know how sad it feels when we're faced with disappointments in life. Dissappointments sometimes leads to one giving up, getting discouraged, getting depressed etc.

Imagine you have been looking for a job for quite a long and you finally got a job to work abroad. The excitement, happily arranging all you will need to go for the interview after booking your flight. The day of your flight finally came and anxiety made you leave your house very early. Arriving there, you discovered you were too early so you decided to seat and wait then, you suddenly realized that you left your credentials, so you immediately rushed back to pick it. On getting to the airport you watched the plane took off and there is no plane going that way again. Hmm, already you've lost the job all your mind has been on, how disappointed you will be. I'm really sorry if you've gone through something related to this before. I understand how it feels.

One good thing about disappointments in life is that, there's always another chance, opportunity, time and alternative.
How about you finding yourself in another place, while wondering how you got there, you kept moving and suddenly you sighted a very beautiful place, incomparable to that of a palace, streets made of gold, a place full of joy and you thought "wow, what a wonderful place to be", then you moved towards the direction of the place. You got to the gate, with much anxiety to enter you were stopped and told 'sorry, you don't belong here', believe me when I say this is the ultimate disappointment- someone denied entering the gate of heaven simply because, the person lived a nonsense life while on earth.

There is no second chance  no alternative, no repentance when a person is faced with this disappointment. The good thing is that you can avoid this ultimate disappointment while on earth. All you need to do is simply live a life that pleases God. Avoid the ultimate disappointment as much as you can. God bless you.

The Power Of Music

People see music as just a mere song.  It is a song, that's absolutely 'true but, there's more to know about music. As little as this sounds it is very powerful because, it can build and it can also destroy.

It all began when Lucifer, a great singer was driven from heaven as a result of some misbehaviours. He was really talented in singing, in desperation, he is looking for friends that would be with him in agony.

There are so many ways he can get people, but since he was talented in music and the world loves music, it is a faster way. He is winning souls through music   and so many eyes are blind that they can't see it.

Music is supposed to inspire, motivate, uplift your spirit, bring you closer to God, bring you to a place of worship, heal, break chains, break demonic yokes etc. but people are being used by who they choose to follow i.e. Lucifer, the devil.

Instead of changing lives positively, it is causing negative effects on people's lives, it brings about lust, sexual immorality and so many nonsense. This is gradually pushing people down to a place of agony, tears, gnashing of teeth, a place where there is no repentance.

Beware of the music you listen to or sing. Let it be music that inspires you, motivate you to do the right thing, draws you closer to your creator, heals, delivers and so on.

The devil is very deceitful, people will give you reasons why you should listen to some music but, if you don't see what the music has in store for you, leave it.
I make a promise to you, listen to the right music 🎶 and you'll discover what God has in store for you.

Perception

Perception as an idea, a belief or an image you have as a result of how you see and understand something, varies differently with different people.

People sometimes perceive things right, while some perceptions are wrong. The way you see or the things you see are different from what others see and how they see it. Don't let people's perception change yours. If you have a dream, even when people believe or see that it can't work, just believe in yourself, pursue your dream, fight for your dream and uplift people with your spirit.

When you agree with the wrong perception of people, you tend to give up on your dreams and end up pursuing theirs. When you agree with the wrong perception of people, you tend to leave your life and live their lives.
Living who you are is a fulfilment. Living your dreams is a fulfilment. Don't let people's perception change who you are and who you are to be.

There are people who believe or see that certain things can't work no matter who tries. Their thoughts or perception don't matter to you, what matters most is what you perceive.

The Race

As soon as the whistle is blown, everyone gets on track and the race is started. In the race there are principles you need to follow and those you need to set for yourself.

To run the race successfully, you need endurance, when you are tired, you keep running, when someone runs into your line trying to block your way, you don't stop running instead you call for attention by putting your hands up. Even when they aren't applauding/clapping for you, you keep running.

Your motivation shouldn't depend on the people watching. You're not supposed to please them because if anything happens, it's you that suffers the consequence(s). Your motivation should be built on the aim and purpose of the race i.e. to reach the finishing line successfully. It's not all about competition but finishing strong.

So also is the journey of life. As soon as you are born, your journey is started. You must discipline yourself and make sure that no matter what happens, you don't give up. When someone runs into your life and is trying to block your way or discourage you, you don't stop instead, you call for attention by praying to God.

Even when people aren't satisfied with what you do and don't applaud you, it's normal. After all you are not here to please men. If you please men you may get yourself into a big mess.

Your focus shouldn't depend on people but the aim of the journey i.e. to  fulfil your destiny. Avoid distractions and always remember-  it's not all about competition but finishing strong.

An Apostle Joshua Selman Lexicon

An Apostle Joshua Selman Lexicon is a collection of  quotes made by Joshua Selman on different Christian topics.
Apostle Joshua  Selman is the President of Eternity Network International; an interdenominational Christian network known for it's weekly meeting Koinonia.

This quotes are culled from his sermons, you can get his sermons via Dunamis Hub, SBICConnect...

I came across Apostle's (as he is fondly called) teachings when I came to Jos for pre-university two years ago. Balance is one of the most notable characteristics of his teachings, these teachings have changed my life in a very significant way. Truly, men are gift to men.

I appreciate the valuable and strategic relationship I have made with fellow "Koinonians" online, it has been a huge blessing to my Life.

As Apostle marks  his birthday today, I will be sharing a few of his words that pertain to life and godliness.

Decisions
• You were born looking like your parents, but you die looking like your decision.

• You can't catwalk to destiny, you have to be deliberate.

• You prepare for battle before battle, you don't prepare for battle during battle.

• Favour is when competence meets opportunity.

• Understanding is a miracle you must desire.

• Your similarities decides your comfort, but it is your difference that decide your reward.

Growth Systems
• Spiritual growth is not measured by your longevity in the Christian faith.

• The knowledge of God is what strengthens your conviction about operating in the kingdom.

• The construction for spiritual growth has to be systemic.

• The Bible is the wisest perspective of God's opinions.

• You can fake power, but you cannot fake intimacy.

• Greatness and success is not pursued. It is attracted by your growth.

• For anything to increase around you, something must increase within you.

• No man was born with spiritual power, there are pathways to follow.

• Devise a strategy for your spiritual growth. You will never have God in your life, when you do not create it.

• Place priority on your time with the word, prayers and cooperate fellowship. These are spiritual strategies that will keep you regardless of vicissitudes of life.

• The greatest way to hurry in life is to stay with God.

• Flawless execution of power is a sign of a healthy secret place.
The most accurate measure of the health of your spirituality is your prayer life.

Relationship

• The healthier your relationship with God, the predictable your success.

• Strategic relationships are value adding investments.

• Brain capital with relationship is unfruitful.

• Believe in men even when they are "nothing".

• Look beyond the flaws of men.

• Relationship is a currency.

• The major ingredient in success is favour; and relationship can access it.

Relationships are advantageous connections, usually mutually beneficial. Relationship can be both define or human.

Mindsets
• The quality of a man's life is tied to his mindset.

•A man's mindset can limit God.

•When your mind is in bondage; your life is in bondage. If your mind does not change, your life will not change.

• You are helplessly a slave of your ideologies.

• Your life revolves around the quality of your mindset.

The birth of anything valuable is painful.

Intimacy with God.
• Brokenness is the prove of your complete dependence on God.

• Consistent "self-glorification" and pride means you've left the secret place.

• Men are made in the secret place.

• The law of consistency is important in establishing the secret place.

• The tragedy is that many think searching God is reading books, listening to the word but knowing God is not by having a volume of spiritual activities but time with God.

• If all of you is public; you will not sustain stamina in life.

• Time is a commitment for intimacy.

Life and Success Systems

• Our results in life will always be in exact proportion with; the demand for what will do, your ability to do what you do and the difficulty in replacing you.

• Nobody will reward you for not been valuable.

• Resilience and tenacity characterise success.

•  Success is overcoming many failures.

• We win in life by strategies.

• The epicenter of dominion is wealth.

Keep Moving

Someone said something that moved me "Life is like a bicycle, in order to keep balance, you must keep moving".

This sounds really true and that's just the summary of a life to live.
Life is like a journey on a bicycle. In this journey, you meet different people with different characters.

You'll surely face challenges. There are people who delight in causing problem, if you create time for them for revenge you'd only ruin your life -just keep moving.

There are times you fail i.e. in business, in education, at work etc. it's just normal don't let your mistakes or failure pull you back -just keep moving.

If you've set a goal, people are definitely there to discourage you -don't get discouraged just keep moving.

People are there to encourage you -take their advice, encouragement and correction then, keep moving.

People will give you wrong direction -don't be deceived, follow the right way and keep moving. People are there to make fun of you -allow them to keep making their fun and keep moving.

People are there to make you smile -show them love and care then, keep moving. People are there to make you depressed -don't give them a chance, just keep moving.

People are there to help you -accept them, be grateful and keep moving.
Sometimes the people we meet, the challenges we face, the times we fail can cause imbalance and you feel like giving up but in order to gain back balance, you must keep moving.

In life if you don't stand for something, you fall just for anything. You must stand up for something, while others are driving aimlessly you must drive with an aim.

Set a goal for yourself that whatever comes your way, you must keep moving to accomplish your goal.

But at the end, you must remember what it took you to get there. The good ones you met made you focused and the others made you stronger. Never forget them, you must be grateful to everyone.

Tales of A Lesbian || Episode Three

Tap here for episode one and two.

She had gone to buy some clothes that day and when she got back, she bought some clothes for me too; bump short inclusive and then she asked me to test them and they were fitting. I thanked her and hugged her.

Later that night, I was in her room,  I finish watching a movie, and I wanted to leave but she asked me to wait that she wanted to show me something on her phone, so I lay back on the bed it was about 9 P.M. she came and lie down too, she now  unlocked her phone and gave me to open the gallery that she wanted to show me some of her pictures that she took in the studio.

We started watching the pictures, you know all this phone gallery that before you know they will jump to videos, that is how it  just jumped to videos, and from one or two funny videos it now jumped to pornography video....ewoo!🙆

When I saw it I felt somehow uncomfortable, since she was also watching and it was a lesbian porn video, so I swipe to another one, she was now like.. "why did you change it na...?" (well how do I tell her that I don't watch porn  video....? Kai), I just said "nothing", she took it back to the porn video and asked me to watch it and that I'm going to enjoy it, and that I should forget that they are naked,

Tor, I started watching the video, the thing was really disgusting, it finally came to an end after 10 minutes I just stood up and told her that I'm going, I told her goodnight and I was about to leave, she was now like "is there a need for me to sleep in my room alone?" she told me that after all she has everything in her room, there's a big blanket and every other thing that I need and that I should just stay and sleep in her room just that night.. I said ok since she had everything...

I never bothered about going back to my room to pick anything again, I just laid back on the bed, in my mind I was praying that sleep should come fast because I don't want to even think or talk about that stupid porn video, so I just lie down there quietly, but sleep refused to come... Kai

I decided to open my WhatsApp, I was replying a few offline messages and chatting with those online, she now came to lie down and then she said... "this one you are chatting seriously like this who are you chatting with I hope it's not one of those stupid guys?"
Do you know one thing about Cynthia? she has never ever spoken good about any guy even if we are going to the market and any of them stop her on the way, she will just hiss and pass, and she will always be dressing sexy and looking hot,

Me I will just be wondering? Who is she now doing all these dressing for? and I have never seen any guy in her house, Each time I bring boyfriend matter up, she'll say "abeg she's happy with her single life oh, I don't need  guy, I have everything I need...

So as I was saying, I replied and said..." no, it's not any of those stupid guys I'm chatting with, am chatting with both girls and guys"... FINALLY! sleep came and as it was my culture once I'm sleeping with anybody on the bed who is neither my sister nor my brother, I normally turn my head towards the direction of the persons legs.. So did same style on her bed, then she tapped me and said "What are you doing? this village girl, do you think I'm a guy? come on why are you sleeping like that, turn joor!!" Cynthia said...

I don't have the strength to talk so I quietly turned and slept facing my back on her, I was sleeping in peace when I heard some noise, you know all  these sex moaning sound now, I woke up guess what I saw...

It's Not Over Yet!

Few years back there was a time I felt I was depressed. I wasn't given the course of my choice to study and I felt I had disappointed myself, my parents and siblings. sometimes I cried about it, I thought a lot and most times when I'm being asked the customary "how are you?" I reply with the customary "I'm fine and you?" Funny but not funny because most of us if not all are doing this. Deep down we know all is not well. We want to talk to someone but nobody is available let's not forget that Christ is always available.

During those times, one thing I remember is ,I didn't think the solution to whatever I was going through was death. No, not at all. I wanted to do something different so I got involved in extra curricular activities to get my head cleared up. I wanted to stop wallowing in self pity and I must say it did work for me. You need to discover what works for you. Certainly, not SUICIDE!

What ever is happening to you right now doesn't mean its the end of life. There's still a whole lot more to be accomplished by you. Look at the positive side.
Is any among you troubled? Let him pray! -James 5:13a.

Though we are in a generation were we have different social media handles, where we can post filtered pictures of ourselves, hide our feelings from one another, please can we just pour it all out to God?  Talk to Him! He'll listen for sure. Hear Him! Open up your bibles.
Lost a job, no house rent, failed an exam, no money, a relationship didn't work out, people saying awful things about you, frustration, etc?  Just to let you know they are obstacles that would be cleared up soon.
House rent paid up.. Job gotten..  Disappointment turns to appointment.. Failure becomes success and so much more!
Failures are deferred success. - Johnstone Kpilaakaa
If only we can look up and see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Yeah, I know it's not that easy but let's take a look at the actions of St Peter, the Apostle, the one who denied Jesus three times and Judas Iscariot, the one who betrayed Jesus with a kiss. This is why Peter is different from Judas, He didn't commit suicide like Judas did. Peter didn't hang himself!

Luke 22 v 54 - 60 (Peter went out and wept bitterly)
Matthew 27 v 3 - 5 ( Judas repented and returned the money but he did not forgive himself)

Let's imagine if Peter had killed himself, where would the church be today? Remember, Christ had told him, " you are Peter  meaning rock and on this rock I'll build my church"  he was up for something great so everything would have shattered if he took his life.

You are up for something great!  You need to have life to accomplish the many things God has set for you.

We are all fighting different battles.  What makes I and you differ is how we come out of them.
It'll cross our minds that no one loves us, no one cares but let's know this,
" For God so loved the world( I and you)  that He gave His only Son that who so ever believes in Him would not perish but have everlasting life"
God loves us! God loves you!!
To those who are strong enough, Romans 15 v 1 - 3 says "¹ We who are strong in the faith ought to help the weak to carry their burdens. We should not please ourselves. ²Instead, we should all please or brothers for their own good, in order to build them up in the faith. ³For Christ did not please himself. Instead, as the scriptures says, "The insults which are hurled at you have fallen on me." "

"My helping hand to the needy world is empty unless love is the motive." - John C. Maxwell

Tales of A Lesbian || Episode Two

Click here for episode one.

Cynthia stayed in in the room next to mine in the compound where I parked to I never knew,
I was at home this very day and there was this song that was being played on my phone, it brought back memories of me and my ex so my heart got really heavy I began to sob quietly.

There was a knock on my door, I quickly cleaned my eyes and I went to open the door, how I wish I never opened that door, that day, that was the time I met Cynthia and there she was with that radiant smile of hers; chai!, Cynthia Fine ehh! If you see her shape🙆.

"Good evening" she said with a smile,
"Evening" I replied,
"I'm sorry, I hope I am not disturbing you, I learnt we had a new neighbour and I decided to come and check" she said,
"Wow that's nice of you thank you very much well my name is Joyce" I replied.
"You have such a beautiful name mine is Cynthia I am a 300 level student, you will enjoy your stay here welcome once more" she said
We shook hands and I entered my room.

Cynthia was very kind to me, and she is a very good cook, (It's not as if I don't cook o), She will cook serve me in my room. If you see her room ba, you won't even believe she's a student; what did she not have, there was a Flat screen TV, Correct Sound system, Fridge, a lot of fancy things, if you enter her room, you will not even want to come out.

The way she cared for me self I used to feel somehow sometimes, if she's washing her clothes she will call me to bring mine she will wash it while I rinse and dry, we did almost everything together, and the funny thing is, she has never asked me for 1 naira, she has been the one spending her money, sometimes I will complain about how much she spends on me and she will just say, "it's nothing"

She even gave me a spare key to her room, she said since most of my things were already in her room, I should have my a spare key to her room, I was happy that she trusted me enough to give me her keys, matter of fact I took her as a sister and a friend,  even though I was not the kind of person to relate with others easily, but her kindness broke that hardness in me, I was even thanking God for sending her to me,

Soon most of my clothes were in her room, most of my books too were in her room, in fact I stayed more in her room than my own room but I have never slept there, me I like sleeping comfortably so I always sleep in my room, but on this particular Saturday! Oh my god! how I wish that Saturday never came, I went to her room as usual.....

Tales Of A Lesbian || Episode One

TALES OF A LESBIAN 👩‍❤️‍👩👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩

I don't remember exactly how I got into this mess but I could remember this would never have happened if I never packed out of my old house.
And my stupid boyfriend caused everything,
when I got into school everything was moving fine, I had all I needed, life was smooth and then I met Godwin, he was my lucky star he was always there, he made things easier for me it was so relieving to have him around, if it's  money he always gives me, if it's time he always give me his time I could say he was just the perfect guy for me things moved on well until we got so close to the extent that I felt I should do more for him.
So there was this day I went to his house as I always did I cooked and we ate at about past 6 p.m. I was getting ready to leave when I noticed he was sitting down all moody, "Oga what is wrong" I asked him, he didn't say a word so I sat back on the bed cross my hands around his neck and asked again this time more slowly "What's happening now?", it was as though he had swallowed a stone because he wanted to talk but something was holding him back he finally opened his mouth and said "I'm horny" me I just sat down there shocked, I was shocked because earlier on we agreed, NO SEX,  since we both were Christians,

"What  do you want me to do Godwin? you know we agreed on this sex issue already", I said.
"Yes I know but I just want you to make me release without penetrating you" he said, me I was still confused OK, though I knew there was a way to make men release without them penetrating the lady, but I never knew how,
"How is that possible?" I asked, "I will put my d**k in between your legs why you close them real tight and that's all" he replied.
Me I was still shocked  by his thoughts oh, what am I going to do now I thought it over, he had done a lot for me and I was like well let me give it a try, I got back on the bed he undressed and pulled off my trouser and did his thing, I felt disgusted but I was like well it's not Sex after all, if this will make him feel better then it's fine,
He thanked  me, I kissed him goodnight, he walked me to the roadside where I left for my house.
This became a normal routine each time he comes to my house or I go to his house he always wanted to release, we were no longer joking and laughing again, I was bored with the whole relationship stuff, we were not connecting as before again,
He texted me and told me that he was tired of the relationship, imagine the nonsense after all I did for him I was heartbroken I felt more dirtier,
So I decided to erase every memory of him; that idiot, by the end of the session I started looking for a new place to pack to and start a new and better life, because I don't want to remember any of those naughty things we did,
I packed and  got settled and then I met CYNTHIA...
this is where the story began...

To be continued...

Reflections On Good Friday

Today is Good Friday. The Friday before Easter Sunday.

Good Friday is the second day of the Paschal Tridium; the last days of lent - Lent is a season of 40days (not counting Sundays) of prayer, fasting and almsgiving embarked by mostly Catholics around the world, it begins on ash Wednesday every year. This year's Ash Wednesday( beginning of lent) was on the 6th of March. The day of the year where you see people move about their daily activities with the sign of the cross on their foreheads. Lent represents Christ's time of temptation (40days and 40nights) in the wilderness and as believers we are encourage to participate actively not has a "ritual" but with understanding.

Justin Holcomb, an episcopal priest was asked,
"Why do we (The Church) call Good Friday “good,” when it is such a dark and bleak event commemorating a day of suffering and death for Jesus?"
And he replied,
"Good Friday is entirely appropriate because the suffering and death of Jesus, as terrible as it was, marked the dramatic culmination of God’s plan to save his people from their sins."

As we commemorate this great day, I'll walk us through a few scriptures that we arose the mystic in us to ponder and pray;

Romans 5 v 6-10

6.While we were still helpless [powerless to provide for our salvation], at the right time Christ died [as a substitute] for the ungodly.

7.Now it is an extraordinary thing for one to willingly give his life even for an upright man, though perhaps for a good man [one who is noble and selfless and worthy] someone might even dare to die.

8. But God clearly shows and proves His own love for us, by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

9.Therefore, since we have now been justified [declared free of the guilt of sin] by His blood, [how much more certain is it that] we will be saved from the wrath of God through Him.

10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, it is much more certain, having been reconciled, that we will be saved [from the consequences of sin] by His life [that is, we will be saved because Christ lives today].

1 Peter 2 v 24:

24. He personally carried our sins in His body on the cross [willingly offering Himself on it, as on an altar of sacrifice], so that we might die to sin [becoming immune from the penalty and power of sin] and live for righteousness; for by His wounds you [who believe] have been healed.

Isaiah 53 v 3-5:

3. He was despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and pain and acquainted with grief; And like One from whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we did not appreciate His worth or esteem Him.

4. But [in fact] He has borne our griefs,
And He has carried our sorrows and pains; Yet we [ignorantly] assumed that He was stricken, Struck down by God and degraded and humiliated [by Him].

5. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing]; The punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him, And by His stripes (wounds) we are healed.

They're thought provoking passages, we need to ponder and pray on.

Jesus left all The Glory in Heaven to come to earth to save us. He knew no sin, but He was condemned for you and I. He died for the rich, poor, old, young, dark, fair, boy, girl, man, woman. He gave His life as a ransom for us. His Love for us has no bounds, it's endless. His Love is Eternal.

🎼
All the way to Calvary
He went for me ( x2)
He died to set me free

You're free to imagine! Imagine such Love!! We are called to Love Him back (Those who love Him keep His commands). We are called to live for Christ. "To Live is Christ, to die is gain".
On Good Friday, we reflect on three but powerful words made by Jesus, " It is finished". All our pains, weakness were nailed to the cross with Him, this is our reality and we must live it.
Happy Easter beloved💕

Is Love Sex And Sex Love?

“Don’t you love me?” my boyfriend asked accusingly.

“I do, but I want to wait for marriage to have sex. I don’t want to be hurt anymore because I’ve given my body to another person who’s not my husband,” I answered sadly.

“I’m your boyfriend, we love each other, you shouldn’t think like that…”

That conversation continued on through several different occasions, and although my words were spoken differently they held the same conviction, and his resolve to have my body never wavered no matter how much I tried to get him to see the right side of things.Love, Valentine, Heart, In Love

He told me he’d never hurt me, that he loved me, that sex would bring us together, not apart.

He said I was being foolish for thinking he’d abandon me once I gave him what he wanted. That I was overreacting, overthinking, and over-complicating things. But, in the end, after I gave him what he wanted and after I finally was convinced that I shouldn’t hold off on having sex because we did love each other, he left and immediately moved onto the next girl. But with his absence, he took along the shattered remnants of my body and heart with him and I was once again left this broken little girl just yearning for someone to truly love her for her character, not her body.

I can’t tell you how many different ways I’ve heard a guy try to convince me that sex before marriage was ok. He’d say:

“Don’t you love me?”

“I thought you wanted me.”

“This will bring us closer.”

“What’s the harm, it’s natural?”

“Don’t you believe that I’d never hurt you?”

“But, I love you…”

Those sad and familiar statements still echo in my mind like a broken record.

And each time I was deceived.

The strings of my heart were played as if each guy was skilled at wearing down and thinning the chords to get what he wanted, while I was left alone to pick myself back up again and recover the strands of myself they had rummaged through deep inside.

I bought into the belief that love is sex and sex is love.Pair, Autumn, Evening Sun, Nature, Human

No matter how often I was left in pieces, screaming in agony over a broken heart, and crying til’ there were no more tears left to spare, I believed this lie.

I was searching for intimacy in a relationship with someone that did not share my convictions about premarital sex.

So, what I want you to get out of this is this.

Check your heart and see where it lies. If you find yourself continuously giving into your boyfriend’s advances or succumbing to sexual temptation because you’ve fallen into the sex = love trap, then I strongly encourage you re-assess yourself and rebuild your convictions on the right foundation. If a guy tells you to ‘prove your love’ by having sex with him understand that he is only using you for the sex, not to get to know you better or possibly marry you. He’s just another self-centered person seeking self-satisfaction.
Literature, Book Bindings, Page, Book
I kept hooking up with guys and getting into relationships I knew were doomed from the beginning just for attention, worth, and affirmation. I was still stuck in my old ways despite my rather weak convictions. I was still so incredibly broken. And the last time I had ever hooked up with a boy I remember running into my room, plopping onto my bed crying and feeling angry at myself because I didn’t hold close to my faith. I kept believing that giving in to sex was something that proved my love, but it wasn’t.

Once the physical act was over and all those feel-good and short-lived hormones faded away, I was left feeling more lost and confused than I was to begin with. Yes, I felt closer to the person I was with, but accompanying that closeness were feelings of confusion, insecurity, guilt, and desperation trying to fervently hold onto a person who was more interested in the physical aspect of our relationship than the emotional.

I kept searching for intimacy, hopping from one guy to the next with a false hope that, “This time will be it. This time I am going to find a relationship that will last with someone that will truly love me for me.”

But what I failed to see was that love is so much more than just sex. And sex doesn’t have to be given to find intimacy.
Men, Women, Apparel, Couple, People
Our society has twisted God’s purpose and design for sex and based it completely on emotions. It tells us intimacy and love is getting naked with someone, and that sex is completely ok and normal with someone who is not your spouse.

But, right off the bat, there are flaws with this viewpoint because there is no guarantee that the deep emotional intimacy that everyone longs for will develop after having sex, and this can be deeply heartbreaking for girls because we are usually the ones who develop attachments and emotional bonds rather than the guy.

So, know this.

Sex is such a gift — but it’s a gift for a certain time… marriage.

Don’t allow your emotions or your boyfriend to convince that having sex will deepen your relationship because it really won’t. The longer it’s outside of God’s will the more you’ll feel a hint of guilt, experience a short-lived emotional closeness, and cut yourself off from finding true fulfillment, true intimacy and true purpose in life.

No amount of promises a guy tells you or how good he makes you feel about yourself is enough reason to have sex, not unless you both have made a solemn public vow, in front of God and a gathering of others, to love, honor.

Why Are You Worrying?

Anchor Scripture: Matthew 6 : 25 -34  (Please read through before you continue!)Girl, Sad, Film, Woman, Young, Portrait

I knew the title before the article. I trust God to help me with this. For me, I'm not worthy to write on this title because I'm one person that worries a whole lot. If I get a call, that a family member or friend is ill, I get worried. If my bank account is showing red, I get worried. If my exam score is below expectation, I get worried and so much more.
I checked a result recently and I cried. My friend called and asked why I cried, if crying could change the score. After the call it occurred to me that I "wasted" my tears. I worried about what my mum was going to say, and after I told her the simple statement she made was " THANK GOD".
I had to asked God for mercy after our phone conversation.
Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Unhappy
"Fear is inevitable, I have to accept that, but I cannot allow it to paralyze me."
Before now, I've read and heard a lot on "Not Worrying" or " Stop Over-thinking Stuff", many have told me, "Patricia Stop Worrying, just pray more" but then,  the work is squarely on me and I'm taking a leap with the help of the Holy Spirit to write on "WORRY NOT".
No matter how many people stand and preach to you not to worry; if you don't decide not to worry, it changes nothing my friend.

Matthew 6 v 27:
(NKJV)  "Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?"
(NIV) "Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? "
(Amplified) "Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan?"
(Good News) "Can any of you live a bit longer by worrying about it?"
This is a question you and I should meditate on.
Yes, I agree! We have a whole lot of stuff to get worried over, clothes, food, health, money, exams etc but Christ is telling us today in Matthew 6 v 33: 'But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you (NKJV)'

God has given us the solution! Seek first His kingdom!!
Someone said, "Nothing is out of control because God's in control"
I've sincerely made the decision to WORRY NOT, to always place everything at the feet of CHRIST. What about you?
My prayer for us today is for the grace to worry not.

PRAYER:
O' Lord! Help me to always cast my cares on you, so that I'll  focus on seeking your Kingdom and Righteousness. Amen!
